यदि Reporting Verb Past Tense ((( Said ))) में रहे । तो Inverted Commas के अंदर प्रयुक्त निकटतम सूचक शब्दों को दूरी सूचक शब्दों मे बदल देते हैं ।

निकटतम सूचक  शब्द         ➝         दूरी सूचक शब्द

Next Week/year    ➣    The following week/year

The day before yesterday   ➣    two days before

The day after tomorrow   ➢    in two days' time

Tomorrow   ➣   The next day/the following day

Yesterday   ➢  The day before/the previous day

यदि Reporting Verb ((Said)) के बाद कोई Object रहे तो Said को told मे बदल देते हैं । और

यदि Reporting Verb ((( Said ))) के बाद Object नहीं रहे तो Reporting Verb ( Said ) को Change नहीं करते हैं, उसे Indirect speech मे भी Said ही लिखा जाएगा ।

Reporting Verb (Said) के बाद प्रयुक्त to को हटा देते हैं यानि कि लुप्त कर देते हैं ।

Inverted Comma " " के स्थान पर that का प्रयोग करते  हैं।

उसने कहा," आज मै व्यस्त हूँ ।"
He said," I am busy today."

उसने कहा कि उस दिन वह व्यस्त था ।
He said that he was busy that day.


उसने कहा," मेरा बैग यहाँ नहीं है ।"
He said," My bag is not here."

उसने कहा कि उसका बैग वहाँ नहीं था ।
He said that his bag was not there.


उसने मुझसे कहा," मै यहाँ खेल रहा हूँ ।"
He said to me," I am playing here."

उसने मुझसे कहा कि वह वहाँ खेल रहा था ।
He said that he was playing there.


उनलोगों ने मुझे कहा," अभी हम तैयार नहीं हैं ।"
They said to me," We are not ready now."

उनलोगों ने मुझे कहा कि तभी वे लोग तैयार नहीं थे ।
They told me that they were not ready then.


सोहन ने हमें कहा," कल मै खेल रहा था ।"
Sohan said to us," I was playing yesterday."

सोहन ने हमें कहा कि कल वह खेलता रहा था ।
Sohan said us that he had been playing the previous day.

Ram said," My dog is here."
Ram said that his dog was there.

She said," This pen is not mine."
She said that that pen was not hers.

I said," These books are not mine."
I said that those books were not mine.

He said," I shall go tomorrow."
He said that he would go the next day.

He said," I shall not go to school today."
He said that he would not go to school that day."

Ram said," I shall not be present tomorrow."
Ram said that he would not be present the next day.


He said," I was playing yesterday."
He said that he had been playing the previous day.

He said to me," I am not ready today."
He told me that he was not ready that day.

He said to me," I shall not go to school tomorrow."
He told me that he would not go to school the next day.

He said," I went there yesterday."
He said that he had gone there the previous day.

He said to us," I went there last month."
He told us that he had gone there the previous month.
